System Description
This partial discharge testing system is designed to increase production efficiency by enabling multi-part processing within a controlled, high-voltage environment. The system performs simultaneous Hipot testing on two parts, followed by sequential partial discharge testing to ensure accurate and reliable measurement results.
Maintaining a noise-free environment is critical for partial discharge testing. This system incorporates fully isolated high-voltage circuits and carefully designed buswork to eliminate electrical interference and cross talk between test channels.
The product under test is submerged in a dielectric bath to simulate operating conditions within an SF₆ enclosure, where testing in free air is not feasible. As with all partial discharge systems, the test chamber is fully shielded and corona-free to minimize electronic and RF noise and ensure measurement integrity.
